My path to becoming a plastic surgeon started as a child growing up as one of two sons that frequently accompanied my father to hospitals on weekends to round on patients.
I knew from an early age that I would one day become a physician. After finishing medical school I completed my General Surgery Residency training in various hospitals in New Jersey and New York City, including the world-renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, working alongside some of the leading cancer surgeons in the country. Despite caring for a full range of patients in every capacity from Trauma to Intensive Care to outpatient surgeries, it was always the cases with the Plastic Surgeons I trained with that got me the most excited.

Pearce Plastic Surgery is a specialist medical practice serving patients in Charlotte, North Carolina, and nearby communities. The story behind the practice began early, when founder and surgeon Pearce grew up accompanying his father to local hospitals on weekends—experiencing firsthand the importance of patient care and learning a commitment to medicine from an early age. After completing medical school, he pursued General Surgery Residency training across hospitals in New Jersey and New York City, including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he worked alongside leading cancer surgeons and cared for patients across a broad range of settings, including trauma, intensive care, and outpatient surgery. Throughout training, it was the opportunity to work alongside plastic surgeons that sparked the strongest interest and set the direction for his career.
